Patricia holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences, a Bachelor of Nutritional Sciences, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP). She is a counsellor and Dharma Yoga, Qigong, and Tai Chi instructor with more than 20 years of experience in movement-based practices and has been teaching movement and mindfulness since 2014.
Her counselling approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in compassion. She supports individuals and couples navigating anxiety, chronic stress, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, caregiving, chronic pain, and chronic illness. Drawing on her education and movement background, Patricia integrates talk therapy with mindfulness, nervous-system education, breathwork, gentle movement, and body-based practices. Sessions are adapted to each client’s goals, capacity, preferences, and access needs.
Rooted in ahimsa (non-violence), Patricia’s work honours the relationship between the body and mind. Whether facilitating counselling or movement practices, she emphasizes intention, curiosity, self-compassion, choice, and present-moment awareness. She believes that growth develops through consistent practice and learning to value the journey rather than measuring ourselves solely by the outcome.
Outside of counselling and teaching, Patricia enjoys cooking, crafting, and contributing to Damian’s Project, a nonprofit dedicated to her son, who lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
